Yude Solar and SEDAYUSolar Launch Joint Venture to Power Indonesia’s Solar Future
Yude Solar and Indonesia’s EPC specialist SEDAYUSolar have formed a joint venture to develop, finance, construct and operate commercial‑ and utility‑scale solar projects, with battery storage options, across the country.
Jakarta, 12 Oct 2026 – In a move that feels like a handshake between global ambition and local know‑how, Yude Solar Technologies, the Chinese rooftop‑solar specialist owned by GoodWe Group, announced a strategic joint venture with PT Selaras Daya Utama – better known as SEDAYUSolar.
The partnership, unveiled on 6 October, will pool Yude Solar’s development, investment and technology expertise with SEDAYUSolar’s 17‑year track record of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work in Indonesia. The goal? To create a one‑stop platform that can take a solar project from an idea on paper all the way to long‑term operation, complete with financing and, where it makes sense, battery energy storage systems.
Both companies say they’ll chase a mix of opportunities – from rooftop C&I (commercial & industrial) installations on factories and warehouses, to ground‑mounted farms and larger utility‑scale parks that can feed the national grid. “We’re not just looking to build a handful of projects,” said Milan Koev, General Manager for Southeast Asia at Yude Solar. “We want a sustainable platform that can keep churning out high‑quality assets over many years.”
Yude Solar brings a portfolio of more than 3 GW of residential and C&I solar projects across over 20 Chinese provinces. SEDAYUSolar, founded in 2009, has delivered upwards of 250 solar installations throughout Indonesia, covering everything from rooftop panels to off‑grid hybrid systems.
“For 17 years we’ve been dedicated to providing reliable, clean energy for Indonesian businesses,” said Fendi Liem, Founder and CEO of SEDAYUSolar. “Partnering with Yude Solar lets us marry that local expertise with global financing and technology, creating real, long‑term value for our clients.”
Potential partners and investors who want to explore the Indonesian solar market are invited to learn more at www.yudesolar.com. The joint venture will also look at integrating battery storage where it can boost renewable utilization and improve grid resilience.
In short, the collaboration stitches together Yude Solar’s international development muscle with SEDAYUSolar’s on‑the‑ground execution skills, aiming to light up Indonesia with more clean power, faster.
