Yude Solar Joins Forces with Indonesia’s SEDAYUSolar to Power a New Era of Solar Projects

Strategic joint venture aims to develop, finance and operate C&I and utility‑scale solar across Indonesia

Yude Solar and PT Selaras Daya Utama (SEDAYUSolar) announce a partnership that blends global tech with local EPC know‑how to build rooftop, ground‑mounted and utility‑scale solar farms, plus battery storage, throughout Indonesia.

Jakarta, 12 Oct 2026 – In a move that feels like the solar industry’s version of a perfect match‑making, Yude Solar Technologies, the Chinese‑Chinese‑backed rooftop specialist, has teamed up with Indonesia’s own PT Selaras Daya Utama – better known as SEDAYUSolar – to form a strategic joint venture.

The idea is simple yet ambitious: marry Yude Solar’s international development, investment and technology muscle with SEDAYUSolar’s deep‑grounded EPC experience and market insight. The result? An end‑to‑end platform that can take a solar project from a sketch on a map to a fully‑operating power asset.

Both companies say the partnership will focus on three main strands – commercial‑and‑industrial (C&I) rooftop installations, ground‑mounted systems and larger utility‑scale farms. Where the wind (or rather, the sun) is strongest, they’ll even weave in battery energy storage systems to smooth out supply and boost resilience.

Yude Solar isn’t a newcomer to the game. Since its 2021 launch, the GoodWe Group subsidiary has commissioned over 3 GW of residential and C&I solar across more than 20 Chinese provinces. SEDAYUSolar, on the other hand, has a 17‑year track record in Indonesia, delivering more than 250 projects ranging from rooftop panels to off‑grid hybrid plants.

“This partnership represents an important step in Yude Solar’s international development,” said Bryan Bao, CEO of Yude Solar. “By combining our project development, investment and technology capabilities with SEDAYUSolar’s strong local expertise, we aim to build a long‑term platform that can support high‑quality solar projects across Indonesia.”

Fendi Liem, founder and CEO of SEDAYUSolar, echoed the sentiment: “For more than 17 years we’ve been committed to reliable, sustainable solar solutions for Indonesia. Teaming up with Yude Solar brings together local execution strengths and global investment and tech know‑how – a combination that can create lasting value for customers and partners.”

Even the regional leadership is excited. Milan Koev, General Manager for Southeast Asia at Yude Solar, added, “Indonesia is a strategic renewable market for us. Our goal isn’t just to build isolated projects; we want a sustainable platform that can develop, finance, construct and operate a whole portfolio of C&I and utility‑scale assets.”
