YS Jagan Moh Reddy Unveils 2027 Padayatra Schedule While YSRCP Calls for Nara Lokesh’s Resignation Over DSC 2025 Scandal

Speaking to a packed gathering of party workers in Parchur, Y.S. Jagan Moh Reddy finally gave a concrete timeline for the Padayatra many have been waiting for. He said the massive foot‑march across Andhra Pradesh will kick off sometime in September or October 2027 – a detail that should calm the endless speculation among cadres.

It’s not just the walking that’s making headlines. In a separate press briefing, senior YSRCP spokespeople demanded that Education Minister Nara Lokesh step down immediately. They also called for a CBI‑led investigation into the DSC 2025 teacher recruitment, alleging a slew of irregularities.

According to the party’s official statements, the recruitment drive was riddled with fake BC and sports‑quota certificates, and even some candidates apparently relied on mere participation slips to land jobs. The insiders described the whole affair as a “job mela”, suggesting that posts were effectively being sold.

Spokesperson Konda Rajiv Gandhi and former MP Margani Bharath stressed that a fair probe can only happen if Lokesh vacates his post, clearing the way for an impartial central agency to do its work.

The YSRCP also accused the current government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, of trying to protect Lokesh. They recalled that the late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Jagan’s father, had once welcomed a CBI inquiry when similar allegations were raised against Jagan himself.

Adding fuel to the fire, the opposition claimed that activists, unemployed youths and journalists who questioned the DSC process were being silenced through legal cases, while no action was taken against those who allegedly secured positions with bogus documents.

One of the most glaring red flags, they argued, was the appointment of teachers without clearing the mandatory Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). That, they say, underscores how the entire recruitment exercise was compromised.
