Yash Praises Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’

When the curtain rose on Nitesh Tiwari’s much‑anticipated retelling of the ancient epic, the buzz wasn’t just about the story—it was also about the faces bringing it to life. In Delhi, at the glittering ‘Pratham Sankalp’ event, Yash, who is playing the villainous Ravana, took a moment to gush over his co‑stars.

“Ranbir, you’ve been phenomenal,” the KGF star said, his voice tinged with admiration. “The whole country will understand how you’ve surrendered to Rama and the magic you’ve created.” It was clear Yash believes audiences are about to see a side of Ranbir Kapoor that they haven’t witnessed before.

But the comment that stole the headlines was his take on Sai Pallavi’s Sita. “Sai, of course, is a fabulous actor. When she plays Sita, her eyes say it all,” Yash remarked, hinting that the actress’s subtle glances will capture the depth of the legendary heroine.

The praise didn’t stop there. Yash also tipped his hat to Rakul Preet Singh’s Shurpanakha, calling her performance “impressive,” and noted that Shobana brings an effortless grace to Kaikasi. He added a playful tease about Ravi Dubey’s Lakshman, labeling it a “surprise package,” and suggested the film is peppered with other unexpected moments.

Sharing the stage were other heavyweights: Sunny Deol as the mighty Hanuman, director Nitesh Tiwari, and producer Namit Malhotra, who thanked Yash for co‑producing the venture and believing in its vision. The project, backed by Prime Focus Studios, DNEG and Monster Mind Creations, is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, with the first trailer slated to hit screens worldwide on July 24.
