Wedding Day Nightmare: Violent Brawl Erupts Over Music at Ludhiana Celebration, Bride's Uncle Injured

A heated argument erupted between members of the bride's and groom's families regarding the 'jukebox' or music selection. What started as a verbal disagreement quickly escalated beyond control, spiraling into a full-blown physical altercation that shattered the celebratory atmosphere.

According to reports, Harminder Singh, 52, a resident of Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar and the bride's paternal uncle, was at the receiving end of the violence.

During the melee, an unidentified individual from the opposing side brutally struck Harminder Singh on the head with a glass bottle. The sudden and unprovoked attack left him grievously injured and bleeding profusely.

Witnesses immediately rushed Harminder Singh to the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), where he is currently undergoing treatment for his head injuries.

The severity of the blow necessitated urgent medical attention, casting a dark shadow over what should have been a memorable day for the families involved.

Lakhvir Singh, 55, the bride's father and Harminder Singh's brother, recounted the horrifying events to the authorities. He confirmed that the argument began over the music and escalated rapidly into the violent assault on his brother.

Based on Lakhvir Singh's statement, the police have taken swift action.

An First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against unidentified persons involved in the scuffle at the Sadar police station. Investigators are now meticulously reviewing CCTV footage from the venue and gathering witness testimonies to identify those responsible for the assault.
