This isn't the first time Indian seafood has faced headwinds from US trade policies.

In the past, the US has imposed anti-dumping duties on frozen shrimp from India, setting a precedent for trade tensions. Recognizing the gravity of the current situation, Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor has urgently written to the Union Commerce Minister, appealing for immediate intervention to protect the struggling seafood sector and the livelihoods it supports.
