Urgent Manhunt Underway: Two Men Wanted in Daring Downtown Toronto Park Robbery

Toronto Police are urgently seeking public assistance in identifying two men involved in a brazen robbery that took place last week in a bustling downtown park. The incident, which left a victim shaken but unharmed, underscores the importance of community vigilance and swift action to maintain safety in public spaces.

The unsettling event unfolded on Thursday, October 26th, at approximately 9:30 PM, within the vicinity of Grange Park, a popular green space nestled near the Art Gallery of Ontario.

According to police reports, a 34-year-old male was enjoying a peaceful evening stroll when he was suddenly accosted by two unknown individuals. The suspects allegedly brandished a knife, demanding the victim's personal belongings.

Under duress, the victim complied, handing over his wallet, which contained cash and several bank cards, as well as his mobile phone.

The two suspects then fled the scene on foot, heading in an unknown direction. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any physical injuries during the harrowing encounter, but the psychological impact of such a violation is undeniable.

Investigators have since launched a thorough investigation, reviewing available surveillance footage and canvassing the area for potential witnesses.

They have released descriptions of the two individuals they believe are responsible for the robbery. The first suspect is described as a male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and a baseball cap.

The second suspect is described as a male, slightly shorter, around 5 feet 8 inches, with a slender build.

He was observed wearing a light-coloured jacket, dark jeans, and also a baseball cap. Both individuals are believed to be in their early to mid-20s.

Toronto Police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Grange Park area last Thursday evening, or who might recognize the descriptions of the suspects, to come forward.
