And, of course, Santa himself makes an appearance. It's a truly picturesque experience, perfect for a relaxed evening out. They’ve got three special Thursday evenings dedicated to this: November 16th, 23rd, and 30th. It’s like stepping into a holiday postcard!

For families, or really, anyone who still believes in a little magic, the Waterloo Central Railway Santa Train is such a treat. Picture this: chugging along through scenic landscapes, hot chocolate in hand, carols playing, and then Santa himself comes right through your car! It's an unforgettable experience that creates those precious family memories. These special rides are available on select dates throughout November and December, so be sure to check their schedule and book your tickets early.

And speaking of dazzling sights, if you prefer to experience the magic from the warmth of your car, then Bingemans Jingle Bell Rock is fantastic. It's a spectacular drive-through light display that will absolutely mesmerize you with its vibrant colours and creative installations. It’s so easy to enjoy with the whole family, just drive through and let the twinkling lights transport you. This runs from November 17th right through to January 6th, giving you plenty of time to visit.

Then there’s the gorgeous Winter Wanderlust at Victoria Park, where the park is transformed into an enchanting wonderland of lights and festive activities. It's perfect for a leisurely stroll, perhaps with a hot chocolate in hand, enjoying the crisp evening air and the beautiful displays. Keep an eye out for specific dates; it usually runs throughout the holiday period, adding a wonderful sparkle to our beloved park.

Of course, no holiday season is complete without a few Santa Claus Parades, right? You just can't beat the excitement of seeing all those floats, marching bands, and, naturally, the big man himself making his grand entrance! We're truly spoiled for choice around here. November 18th is a huge day with multiple parades, including the Cambridge Santa Claus Parade, the Waterloo Santa Claus Parade, and the main KW Santa Claus Parade. Then, the Guelph Santa Claus Parade follows on November 19th, and Hespeler Village Santa Claus Parade on December 2nd. Pick your favourite, or try to catch a couple!
