Indeed, the talent on display was nothing short of remarkable, giving fans and voters alike a genuine headache trying to pick just one standout.

Let's cast our minds back to those thrilling days and recall some of the offensive juggernauts who simply refused to be stopped. At quarterback, we had a trio of incredible signal-callers. Joey McLeish, a senior from Imhotep Charter and a Morgan State commit, was simply surgical, completing 11 of his 18 attempts for 233 yards and an eye-popping five touchdowns in a dominant 42-0 victory. Then there was Dyson Dupont, a freshman phenom from Loyalsock Township, who truly made an entrance by tossing six touchdowns and 234 yards on just 14 passes – talk about efficiency! Not to be outdone, Nazareth Area’s junior quarterback, Cooper Madson, showcased pinpoint accuracy, going 20-of-23 for 264 yards and three scores in a convincing shutout win. What a display of arm talent!

The ground game, always a fan favorite, also saw some monumental efforts. Fletcher Thompson, a junior running back from Williams Valley, put the team on his back with a staggering 291 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 29 carries, powering his team to a 33-0 triumph. Just as impressive was Parker Hatter, a junior from Tri-Valley, who carved up defenses for 256 yards and five touchdowns on only 18 carries. And let’s not forget Jaylen Delaney from Mount Carmel, who rushed for 145 yards and four scores on just 11 attempts – making every touch count in a huge 55-7 win. These guys were simply unstoppable.

Speaking of aerial assaults, our wide receivers certainly knew how to light up the scoreboard. DeMarcus Murray, a junior from Central York, hauled in seven catches for 138 yards and three game-changing touchdowns. Not far behind was Central Catholic’s senior wideout, Connor Melnik, who grabbed three touchdown catches himself, showcasing fantastic hands and route running. And from McDowell, junior Taylor Lincoln added seven catches for 145 receiving yards and two crucial scores. Imagine trying to cover these talents!

But let's not forget the defensive stalwarts, who frankly, made life utterly miserable for their opponents. Rudy Brisbane, a freshman cornerback from Elizabethtown, demonstrated incredible instinct by snagging two pick-sixes, returning them for 82 and 35 yards respectively in an astounding 85-6 victory. What a way to announce your arrival! Pennridge junior linebacker Blake Landherr was everywhere, racking up 9 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, half a sack, a fumble recovery, and, get this, even caught a touchdown pass on offense – a true ironman performance. And then there was Tyler Quinn, a junior edge rusher from Mercyhurst Prep, who absolutely terrorized opposing quarterbacks with 11 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, and an unbelievable six sacks, plus three QB hurries in a 64-0 shutout. That's a stat line you rarely see!

Choosing just one "Player of the Week" from such a stellar lineup truly felt like an impossible task for fans. The voting period, which closed at 11:59 p.m. PT on September 27th, 2026, asked the Pennsylvania high school football community to weigh in and pick their favorite.
