UAE Business Leaders Set to Tour Madhya Pradesh in January, Eyeing Multi‑Sector Investments

In a move that underscores the growing economic ties between the United Arab Emirates and India, a high‑level UAE business delegation is slated to land in Madhya Pradesh this January. The visit comes after a series of “reconnaissance” trips planned for the coming months, designed to pinpoint projects that could benefit from Emirati capital and expertise.

Speaking to ANI after a meeting with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in Dubai, UAE Special Envoy for Business and Philanthropy Badr Jafar said the two sides had mapped out a sequence of follow‑up visits. “We’ll do some groundwork first, identify viable opportunities, and then bring a larger delegation of UAE business leaders to the state in January, hoping to seal a few deals,” he explained.

Jafar, who also heads Crescent Enterprises, emphasized that India remains a priority market for the UAE. “Our focus isn’t limited to a handful of sectors,” he noted. “We want to explore the whole spectrum – from renewable energy and industrial infrastructure to ports, logistics, sustainable urban projects, and technology‑driven businesses.”

The upcoming delegation will be a cross‑section of CEOs, investors and senior executives representing those very sectors. Jafar assured that the group would carry a diverse portfolio, reflecting the broad‑based approach both governments are keen to pursue.

During the Dubai talks, Yadav and Jafar highlighted several promising areas: large‑scale renewable energy parks, modernised industrial zones, upgraded logistics corridors, and smart‑city initiatives. They also talked about nurturing scalable startups rooted in Madhya Pradesh, facilitating technology transfer, and opening doors to overseas markets for Indian innovators.

Jafar hinted that a smaller, preliminary team would visit the state ahead of the January delegation to lay the groundwork. He also mentioned his own plans to attend the Global Investors Summit 2027, where he expects to champion Madhya Pradesh’s investment prospects on a global stage.

Chief Minister Yadav is currently on a four‑day outreach tour of Dubai (September 6‑9), participating in the AIM Congress 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The congress brings together global investors and business groups, offering Madhya Pradesh a platform to showcase its potential before the much‑anticipated 2027 summit.

Both leaders expressed optimism that the dialogue will translate into tangible projects, creating jobs and spurring growth across the central Indian state.
