Tuesday Storms Give Way to a Pleasant, Dry Weekend in Boston

Right now the air feels oddly comfortable – dry, breezy, and just cool enough for a light jacket. That won’t last long. By tomorrow morning the humidity will start creeping up, and the forecast calls for a classic summer Tuesday: afternoon thunderstorms with a chance of brief heavy downpours.

Friday through Sunday stay mostly sunny, with temperatures climbing into the mid‑80s by the weekend. The only wrinkle is a slight chance of a shower on Monday as the pattern begins to shift.

Meanwhile, the latest tropical system – Tropical Storm Bertha – is churning off the Gulf Coast. It’s not a threat to New England, but the storm does remind us how quickly weather can change. For Boston, though, the message is clear: brace for a wet Tuesday, then enjoy a dry, warm weekend ahead.
