Tragedy Strikes South St. Louis: Man Found Stabbed to Death

Early Sunday morning, just after 4:30 a.m., officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department answered a call reporting a stabbing in the 3800 block of Folsom Avenue. The address sits just a few blocks from Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, in the city’s Tiffany neighborhood.

When they arrived, they found a man in his 50s lying between two parked cars, unmoving and not breathing. He had suffered numerous cuts and stab wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Detectives from the Homicide Division have now taken over the case. They’re combing through surveillance footage, talking to nearby residents, and canvassing the area for anyone who might have seen or heard anything unusual in the early hours.
