Tragedy Strikes Lehigh County: 24-Year-Old Identified in Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Lehigh County authorities have officially identified the 24-year-old man who tragically lost his life in a devastating motorcycle crash earlier this week. The Lehigh County Coroner’s office confirmed Tuesday that Michael "Mike" Thompson, of Allentown, was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident.

The tragic accident occurred on Monday evening, around 7:45 PM, on Route 22 near the Fullerton Avenue exit in Whitehall Township.

According to preliminary reports from the Pennsylvania State Police, Thompson was operating a motorcycle when it was involved in a collision with another vehicle. The exact circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation by state police.
