Tragedy Strikes Chicago Lawn: 28‑Year‑Old Man Killed After Late‑Night Argument

On the night of Friday, September 4th – right after the Labor Day holiday weekend had rolled into the early hours of Saturday – a fight turned deadly on the 7300 block of South Kedzie Avenue in Chicago’s Lawn neighborhood.

At roughly 11:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to Holy Cross Hospital after a walk‑in gunshot victim arrived. The man, 28 years old, had been involved in an argument just a few blocks away when the person he was arguing with suddenly drew a gun and opened fire.
