Leander, who was working remotely, had stepped out briefly. Upon his return, he slipped his foot into his Crocs, a common, comfortable choice of footwear, only to be met with a sharp, piercing pain. Initially, he dismissed it as a mere bee sting, a common misconception that tragically delayed the critical realization of the true danger he faced.

As hours passed, D'souza's condition began to deteriorate rapidly.

Despite the best efforts of medical professionals and the desperate hopes of his loved ones, Leander's health continued its downward spiral, necessitating another transfer to Manipal Hospital.
