Tragedy Strikes Anand: Former Househelp Accused of Brutal Murder for Gold and Cash

A 63-year-old woman, Parul Shah, was found dead in her home, and what makes this tragedy particularly chilling is the alleged involvement of someone who once worked for her. The alarm bells first rang when Parul's daughter, Disha Shah, couldn't reach her mother over the phone. A mother's intuition, perhaps? Concerned, Disha reportedly asked a neighbor to check in on her. What the neighbor discovered was horrific: Parul Shah lay unconscious. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but sadly, it was too late; doctors declared her deceased.

Upon notification, the local police swiftly launched their investigation. Their focus, it seems, quickly narrowed onto a former househelp, Kamlesh Kahar, and his cousin, Ritesh Kahar.

Kamlesh Kahar wasn't a stranger to the Shah household; he had worked for Parul for about a year before leaving her employ roughly two months prior to this grim event. But there was a financial entanglement: Kamlesh reportedly owed Parul Shah a sum of money. Police suggest this debt, coupled with the lure of valuables within the home, became the twisted motive for the heinous crime.

The act, according to police, was not just about murder, but also about plunder: gold jewelry, approximately Rs 35,000 in cash, and her mobile phone were reportedly stolen from the premises.
