Thirumalai Mission Hospital Unveils Advanced Sewage Treatment Plant, Championing Environmental Stewardship in Ranipet

In a significant stride towards environmental sustainability and community well-being, Thirumalai Mission Hospital in Ranipet proudly inaugurated a state-of-the-art Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) on March 18, 2024. This crucial infrastructure project, designed to bolster the hospital's commitment to ecological responsibility, was made possible through the generous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of REC Limited.

The newly commissioned STP boasts a capacity of 50 Kilo Liters per Day (KLD), capable of efficiently treating the wastewater generated by the hospital.

This advanced facility underscores Thirumalai Mission Hospital's dedication not only to providing exceptional healthcare but also to minimizing its environmental footprint. The treated water, meeting stringent quality standards, will be repurposed primarily for gardening and landscaping within the hospital premises, thereby conserving fresh water resources and promoting a greener environment.

The esteemed Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, R. Gandhi, had the distinct honor of inaugurating the plant. He commended the hospital's proactive approach to environmental management and its positive impact on the local community.
