It turns out, Syed Shabbir wasn't just any ordinary citizen having a marital spat. Oh no. He was a wanted man, a known drug peddler who had been on the police’s radar for quite some time. He’d actually been previously arrested back in August 2022 on charges of drug peddling. After that initial brush with the law, he'd seemingly vanished into thin air, successfully evading capture ever since.

So, there he was, seeking refuge from domestic strife, inadvertently delivering himself straight into the arms of the law he’d been so carefully avoiding. Talk about an unfortunate turn of events! Instead of getting protection from his wife, he got an immediate booking. The police wasted no time in arresting him under the stringent Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
