Remember the chatter surrounding the Trump Mobile T1 phone, first hinted at late last year? Well, it seems the project is very much still in the pipeline, which in itself is interesting news. But here's the kicker: if you were holding out for those initial, rather impressive specifications, you might need to completely recalibrate your expectations. The phone has truly transformed, carrying forward its unique branding and target audience, but with a significantly revised hardware blueprint.

Let's cast our minds back to the original vision, shall we? We were told to anticipate a rather beefy device: a generous 6.8-inch display, likely boasting a silky-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, all powered by a substantial 5,000 mAh battery. Crucially, the talk was of a flagship-tier processor, something along the lines of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, paired with a potent 108MP main camera and ample storage. For a projected price of $999, it certainly sounded like a competitive package, at least on paper.

Fast forward to the latest updates, and while that $999 price tag surprisingly remains, the underlying hardware narrative has shifted considerably.
