Between March and May of this year, Reddy dutifully transferred funds totaling Rs 4.78 lakh. These payments were supposedly for various essential services: processing fees, visa applications, work permits, and even air tickets. The consultancy even went as far as to provide Reddy with what appeared to be genuine documents, including a visa and an air ticket. It’s a common tactic in these scams, giving a false sense of security and legitimacy. Reddy, trusting the process, patiently waited for his departure date. But as days turned into weeks, and then months, a creeping suspicion began to set in. The promised departure never materialized, and the consultancy's communication started to become, shall we say, a bit elusive.
