The Annual River Edge Car Show: A Community Tradition Revs Up Again!

Alright, fellow car fanatics and community lovers, listen up! One of our favorite annual traditions is roaring back into action next month, and you absolutely won't want to miss it. We're talking about the fantastic Annual River Edge Car Show, and it’s set to take over the grounds of River Dell High School once again, promising a day full of dazzling rides and good vibes.

Mark your calendars, jot it down, circle it in red – whatever you need to do! The big day is Saturday, May 18th, 2024, running from 9 in the morning all the way until 3 in the afternoon. And just in case Mother Nature decides to throw a curveball, there's a rain date set for Sunday, May 19th. So, no excuses, come rain or shine (well, mostly shine, we hope!). You'll find all the action right there at River Dell High School, located at 55 Pyle Street in Oradell.

This isn't just any car show, you know. This wonderful event is proudly organized by the River Edge Police Department (our amazing REPD!), and it serves a truly meaningful purpose. All the proceeds from the day go directly to support the REPD Community Outreach programs, which do so much good for our town. Think initiatives like the ever-popular National Night Out, which brings residents and law enforcement together in such a positive way. So, by enjoying some cool cars, you're actually contributing to a stronger, safer community – how neat is that?

Now, let's talk about the stars of the show: the cars! You'll be treated to an incredible display of automotive artistry. Imagine rows of gleaming classic cars, hot rods that practically vibrate with raw power, magnificent muscle cars, unique customs, timeless antiques, and even some seriously exotic vehicles that'll make your jaw drop. It’s a feast for the eyes and ears, trust me. Beyond the stunning vehicles, there'll be a lively atmosphere with delicious food trucks to satisfy any craving, various vendors showcasing their wares, and some great music to keep the energy high. Oh, and of course, what's a car show without trophies? Expect to see some well-deserved awards handed out!

Thinking of showcasing your own prized possession? Fantastic! You can pre-register your vehicle for $20 by May 11th. If you're more of a spontaneous type, day-of registration will be available for $25. And if you're just coming to soak in the sights and sounds, spectator admission is a super reasonable $5. Here's a little bonus for families: kids under 12 get in absolutely free! It’s really a perfect outing for everyone, from seasoned gearheads to little ones just discovering the magic of cars.
