Telangana Medical Council Launches Major Crackdown on Unqualified Practitioners, Files Cases Against 150 Quacks

In a resolute move to safeguard public health and uphold medical standards, the Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) has initiated stringent legal proceedings against a staggering 150 unqualified medical practitioners operating across the state. This decisive action underscores the council's unwavering commitment to eradicating quackery and ensuring that only registered and qualified professionals provide healthcare services to the citizens of Telangana.

The TGMC has formally lodged complaints with the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, furnishing irrefutable evidence against these individuals.

Furthermore, letters have been dispatched to District Superintendents of Police and Commissioners, urging comprehensive investigations and immediate action. This statewide crackdown targets those who exploit the trust of vulnerable patients, practicing medicine without the requisite qualifications or valid registration with the council.
