The New Westminster Police Department is urgently appealing to the public for assistance in identifying those responsible for the unsettling incident that took place on Sunday, March 24, around 10:30 PM.

According to initial reports, a group enjoying the park was accosted by three young males.

What began as an apparent confrontation quickly escalated into a violent encounter. During the incident, one individual from the victim group was physically assaulted, while the suspects made off with a satchel containing valuable personal items, including a wallet, cell phone, and keys. The descriptions are as follows:

• Suspect 1: Described as approximately 16 years old, with a light complexion, standing around 5 feet 7 inches tall, and possessing a slim build. He was noted to have short dark hair and was last seen wearing a white or light-coloured puffy jacket, dark pants, and dark shoes.
• Suspect 2: Believed to be around 15 years old, with a darker skin tone, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, and a slim build.

  He also had short dark hair and was seen wearing a distinctive dark track suit featuring a horizontal white stripe across the jacket, paired with dark shoes.

• Suspect 3: Also approximately 15 years old, with a darker skin tone, standing around 5 feet 6 inches tall, and of a slim build.

  Like the others, he had short dark hair and was observed wearing a dark-coloured track suit with dark shoes.
