Safety, after all, must always come first.

Now, shifting gears back to terra firma, what about the mercury? Well, generally speaking, minimum temperatures across the plains should hover around the seasonal norm — nothing too shocking there. But, and there’s always a "but" with our weather, isn't there? Maximum temperatures, especially in a handful of interior districts, are set to climb a little higher than usual. Think Erode, Salem, Karur, Tiruchirappalli, Namakkal, Tirupattur, Vellore, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri — these places might just feel an extra two to three degrees above what’s typically expected. So, perhaps, a slightly warmer embrace from the sun than anticipated for those regions.

And for our bustling capital, Chennai? One could say it’s a fairly typical outlook. The skies will be partly cloudy, offering a bit of relief from the direct sun. Day temperatures are predicted to reach a high of 38-39°C, while the nights won't dip much below 29-30°C. Essentially, more of that familiar warmth we’ve come to expect, day in and day out.

So there you have it, a week shaped by varying atmospheric moods. From the gentle promise of rain to the fierce admonition for those at sea, Tamil Nadu's skies are never truly dull.
