Syracuse University is making a significant stride towards a more sustainable future by hosting a grand Electronic Upcycle Event! to 1 p.m. This pivotal event will take place on South Campus at Skytop Road, specifically in Parking Lot S-6. It's a fantastic, free opportunity for everyone to responsibly dispose of their old, unused, or broken electronic devices, ensuring they are recycled ethically and securely.

Wondering what you can bring? The event is designed to accept a wide array of electronics, making it incredibly convenient.

This includes, but is not limited to: computers (desktops and laptops), tablets, cell phones, televisions, monitors, printers, scanners, gaming systems, VCRs, DVD players, stereos, and even small household appliances like microwaves, toasters, and coffee makers. If it plugs in or runs on a battery and you no longer need it, chances are we can take it!

However, for the safety and efficiency of the recycling process, there are a few items that cannot be accepted.

Please refrain from bringing large household appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, or washing machines. Additionally, hazardous materials like smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, light bulbs, and standalone batteries are not part of this collection. Please check local hazardous waste disposal guidelines for these specific items.
