Students and staff at the College of Southern Nevada's North Las Vegas campus faced an unexpected disruption on Thursday, August 22, as a sudden and widespread power outage forced the complete closure of the entire campus for the day.

The unforeseen power loss brought all scheduled classes, events, and administrative activities to an abrupt halt, impacting countless individuals relying on the campus facilities.

As a result, the institution made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel all operations for the remainder of the day to ensure safety and manage the inconvenience caused by the lack of electricity.
