Stockton Police Detain Suspect After Officer Struck During Arrest

Late Friday night, officers on patrol in Stockton, California, responded to a multi‑vehicle collision on a downtown stretch of 4th Street. The crash, which involved a silver sedan and a pickup, left both drivers shaken but not seriously injured.

When deputies arrived, they attempted to secure the driver of the sedan. According to a police spokesperson, the man grew agitated, resisted, and at one point struck a patrol officer in the face.
