As Dharmendra carefully entered the river to perform the immersion, a sudden and tragic turn of events unfolded.

He reportedly lost his footing and slipped into a deeper section of the river. Despite the immediate alarm and desperate efforts from his family and onlookers, the powerful currents and depths of the Kwari River quickly overwhelmed him, pulling him beneath the surface.
