Scam Web Unravels: Two More Cases Filed Against Girish Mattannavar in Belthangady, Totaling 13 Accusations

The legal net around Girish Mattannavar, currently held in judicial custody, continues to tighten as two additional cases have been registered against him in Belthangady, Dakshina Kannada. These fresh accusations bring the total number of cases against him in the Belthangady police station to a staggering 13, further highlighting the extensive nature of the alleged land fraud operations.

Mattannavar, who is already facing 15 cases in Mangaluru, now confronts a combined total of 28 cases across the region.

The latest complaints add to the growing list of victims, pushing the cumulative amount involved in these alleged fraudulent land dealings to over Rs. 35 crore.

The first of the two new cases was filed by K. Vasanth Kumar, a resident of Ujire. Kumar alleges that Mattannavar entered into a land sale agreement with him for a sum of Rs.

1.25 crore. Despite receiving Rs. 1.05 crore as an advance payment, Mattannavar reportedly failed to register the property as promised, thereby defrauding Kumar of a significant amount.

The second complaint comes from Suresh, also from Ujire. Suresh claims that Mattannavar accepted Rs. 35 lakh from him under the guise of a land sale.

However, similar to Kumar's experience, Mattannavar allegedly never completed the transaction, leaving Suresh cheated out of his money. Both complainants have detailed their grievances to the authorities, prompting the new charges.

These new developments underscore the serious allegations of widespread financial misconduct and breach of trust against Girish Mattannavar.

As he remains in judicial custody, the ongoing investigations are expected to reveal further details about the full extent of his alleged network and the number of individuals impacted by his reported land dealings.
