According to police, the man identified as Arumugam forced a school‑going student to stir powdered cow dung into the stew. His motive? A personal vendetta after his wife, who worked as a cook at the same school, was suddenly dismissed from her job.

Teachers, following the customary practice of tasting a small portion before serving, immediately sensed something off. "It tasted unusually bitter, almost like too much turmeric," one teacher recalled, only to discover a far more unsettling ingredient when the dish was examined more closely.
