Rep. Randy Fine Labels Pro‑Hamas Politicians as Terrorists

During the 2026 Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) National Leadership Summit, Florida’s Rep. Randy Fine (R‑FL) didn’t mince words. When asked about his habit of branding politicians who refuse to condemn Hamas as “terrorists,” he doubled down, saying the rhetoric itself makes them complicit.

"The people who run Hamas sit in Qatar or Turkey, they’re not out there with guns in their hands, yet we all agree they’re terrorists," Fine told Breitbart Editor‑in‑Chief Alex Marlow. "If you verbally support them, you become a terrorist too. It’s that simple."

Fine painted a vivid picture of Hamas leaders living in luxury – “gilded buildings, five‑star meals, silk‑covered beds” – to stress that their lack of direct bloodshed doesn’t change the label.

Marlow pressed further, wondering whether Fine’s logic extends to U.S. officials who aren’t overtly violent but also aren’t strongly anti‑Hamas. Fine pointed directly at New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, accusing him of backing Hamas and Hezbollah, refusing to condemn the “globalized intifada,” and even suggesting Mamdani’s wife praised the October 7 attacks.

“Mamdani allows his city to be overrun with people who stab Jews on the streets. He’s a terrorist,” Fine declared, adding that similar rhetoric from other lawmakers, like Rep. Ilhan Omar (D‑MN), would also earn the same label.

The remarks sparked a chorus of criticism from Democrats and some Republicans, who argue that calling elected officials “terrorists” stifles legitimate debate and undermines democratic discourse. Fine, however, insisted his stance is rooted in a simple moral calculus: “If you support terrorism, even with words, you’re on the same side as the terrorists themselves.”
