Professor Colombo was, without a doubt, a towering intellect in the realm of tax law. He wasn't just knowledgeable; he was the expert, especially when it came to the intricate worlds of tax-exempt organizations and healthcare law. He held the esteemed title of Albert E. Jenner, Jr. Professor of Law, a testament to his scholarly prowess. Many of us, and certainly his students, knew him as the go-to authority, someone who could untangle even the most complex legal knots with remarkable clarity. His academic contributions, particularly as a co-author of the seminal textbook, "Federal Income Taxation of Individuals, Corporations, Partnerships and Trusts," truly shaped the field and educated generations of legal minds.
