Rashmika Mandanna Wraps Up ‘Ranabaali’ Shoot, Shares Touching Hug With Husband Vijay Deverakonda

Rashmika Mandanna has finally called it a day on the sets of the much‑buzzed‑about Telugu period drama Ranabaali. The star, who plays the fierce 19th‑century heroine Jayamma, shared a short clip that instantly melted fans' hearts.

In the video she can be seen lovingly rubbing her growing baby bump, draped in a traditional saree, while the camera captures the bustling crew around her. Suddenly, director Rahul Sankrityan steps into frame, smiles, and pulls her into a warm hug – a simple yet genuine “thank you” for the work she’s put in.

Just moments later Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika’s husband and co‑star, appears. He walks up, looks a little surprised – as if he can’t quite believe the shoot is really over – and embraces her tightly. Their embrace, though brief, feels loaded with the excitement of wrapping a film they’ll soon see on the big screen together.

The production house, Mythri Movie Makers, posted the same footage on Instagram with a caption that read, “It’s a wrap for Jayamma. We will dearly miss you on set, @rashmika_mandanna. The much‑loved Endhayya Saami out very soon.” Rashmika reshared the post, adding, “And that’s a wrap for me as Jayamma, guys! Jayamma is one for the hearts! I hope you feel the same when you watch Ranabaali on Oct 16.”

Vijay, ever the joker, replied in the comments, “Cannot believe we have reached the end of making this film :)) Will miss living the lives of Ranabaali and Jayamma.” The camaraderie on screen clearly mirrors the affection off‑screen.

Ranabaali is set against the backdrop of British‑ruled Andhra Pradesh between 1854 and 1878, drawing inspiration from the rugged warrior Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali and the lesser‑known Rayalaseema region. Vijay takes on the titular role, while Rashmika’s Jayamma is the strong‑willed counterpart. This marks their first film together after tying the knot in February and their third on‑screen pairing after hits like Dear Comrade and Geetha Govindam.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film also features a cameo by Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo. Backed by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T‑Series, the music scores are by the acclaimed duo Ajay‑Atul. Fans can look forward to the theatrical release slated for October 16.
