Ranchi Woman's Murder: Husband and Accomplice Arrested in Shocking Crime

Ranchi, Jharkhand – A harrowing murder case that gripped Ranchi has seen a breakthrough, with city police successfully apprehending two individuals, including the victim's own husband, in connection with the brutal killing of 35-year-old Savita Devi. Savita Devi's lifeless body was discovered near a pond in the Namkum area of Ranchi on April 28, sending shockwaves through the community.

The discovery immediately launched a comprehensive investigation by local authorities to identify the victim and unravel the circumstances surrounding her untimely demise. Forensic examination later confirmed that Savita Devi had been strangled, pointing towards a deliberate and violent assault.

During the painstaking investigation, police zeroed in on Savita Devi's husband, Rajesh Kumar, as a prime suspect.

It was revealed that Rajesh Kumar harbored deep suspicions about his wife's fidelity, believing she was involved in an extramarital affair. Consumed by jealousy and resentment, he allegedly conspired with an accomplice, Sanjeet Kumar, to commit the heinous crime.

According to police statements, Rajesh Kumar confessed to enlisting Sanjeet Kumar's help in carrying out the murder.

The duo reportedly strangled Savita Devi, ultimately disposing of her body in the secluded pond in Namkum to cover their tracks. The shocking confession painted a grim picture of a relationship shattered by distrust and a cold-blooded plot to silence a perceived transgression.

A crucial piece of evidence that aided the police in their investigation was Savita Devi's mobile phone, which was recovered from her in-laws' house.
