Porter Airlines Adjusts Schedule, Delays Inaugural Ottawa-Fort McMurray Direct Flights

Travelers eagerly anticipating a seamless direct connection between Ottawa and Fort McMurray will need to wait just a little longer. Porter Airlines has announced a one-month delay for the launch of its new, highly anticipated non-stop service between the nation's capital and the Alberta hub.

Initially, the service was slated to commence on Thursday, May 16.

However, Porter Airlines has revised its schedule, pushing back the inaugural flight until Sunday, June 16. The airline attributed this adjustment to "operational requirements," a common phrase used when logistical or scheduling considerations necessitate changes.

This new route marks a significant milestone for the Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM), as it will be the first time a direct flight has connected Fort McMurray with Ottawa.
