Pink's Candid Battle: Superstar Reveals Severe E. Coli Illness and Tour Interruptions

Pop icon Pink has pulled back the curtain on a challenging chapter, revealing a severe E. coli infection that led to multiple hospitalizations and the postponement of highly anticipated shows on her 'Summer Carnival' tour in Australia. In a candid message to her fans, the 'So What' singer shared details of her health ordeal, emphasizing the importance of well-being over performance.

The health crisis began to unfold when Pink's 12-year-old daughter, Willow Sage Hart, fell ill.

While Willow has since made a full recovery, the illness then struck Pink herself with unexpected ferocity. The superstar initially battled dehydration, leading to a hospitalization for IV fluids. However, her condition worsened, and she was later diagnosed with E. coli.

Pink described the excruciating experience, stating, "I woke up with E.

coli, and I've been really, really sick." This severe infection necessitated a second hospitalization, where she received intravenous antibiotics. She shared her deep frustration and disappointment over the cancellations, particularly for her dedicated fans in Sydney and Brisbane, but underscored that her health made continuing the tour impossible at that moment.

Expressing immense gratitude, Pink thanked her medical team, the dedicated staff at Gold Coast University Hospital, and everyone who had rallied around her.

She also extended her heartfelt apologies to the fans who had purchased tickets and made arrangements to see her perform, promising to reschedule the affected shows as soon as possible. "I am so, so sorry, and I'm so sad," she conveyed, acknowledging the disappointment felt by many.

The affected dates included two performances at Sydney's Allianz Stadium on Feb.

9 and 10, as well as two shows in Brisbane on Feb. 16 and 17. The singer's team confirmed that all postponed shows would be rescheduled, with new dates to be announced shortly. Pink's transparency resonated deeply with fans, who quickly flooded her social media with messages of support and well wishes for a swift recovery.

This isn't the first time Pink has faced health challenges while touring.
