Oakland A’s manager Mark Kotsay has reduced the price of his Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. mansion by more than $1 million to $8.35 million. It was previously listed last year for $9.9 million, The sprawling 13,108 square foot home in a gated community has six bedrooms and eight baths. It is completely renovated with an elevator, home theater, dry sauna and an 1,100 square foot separate guest quarters.
The property sits on the 16th hole of the golf course and has a wrap around deck with panoramic views of the fairway. In the backyard, there is also a mini golf course, pool with slide, dog run and a wood fired pizza oven. Sean Barry and Susie Mikolajewski with Barry Estates are the listing agents. Kotsay was born in Whittier and grew up in Southern California.
He became manager of the A’s in 2022 after coaching for the team for the previous five years. As a player, he has played for the A’s, San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox and other MLB teams..
