Owaisi Slams Akhilesh Yadav, Claims SP Has Been Exploiting Muslims for Generations

Owaisi accuses SP of exploiting Muslim voters ahead of UP 2027 polls

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi blasted Akhilesh Yadav, saying the Samajwadi Party has treated Muslims as a perpetual vote‑bank and warned of a new “99 vs 1” contest in Uttar Pradesh.

All India Majlis‑e‑Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi took to the microphone on Monday with a mix of anger and urgency, pointing directly at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. He didn’t just criticize a political rival; he called out a pattern that, in his view, has spanned two‑three generations.

“Look, the Muslim community has been repeatedly sacrificed on the altar of the Samajwadi Party’s vote‑bank politics,” Owaisi said, his voice rising as he listed examples. “Your father, Mulayam Singh Yadav, became chief minister several times, yet places like Azamgarh saw no university, no real development. We got a medical college in Saifai, a sports university, but the real benefits never reached the people who kept voting for you.”

He paused, perhaps to let the point settle, before adding a personal note about the disillusionment among young Muslims. “You’re happy when a youngster shouts, ‘Bhaiya, I’ll give my life for you,’ but what does he get in return? It’s time we stop being just a number on a ballot and start becoming leaders ourselves.”

Owaisi also hinted at a behind‑the‑scenes understanding between the ruling BJP and the SP. “There’s an unspoken pact, I’m told,” he claimed, challenging both Akhilesh Yadav and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath to step out of their comfort zones – “let the CM contest from Sambhal and Akhilesh from Gorakhpur. We’ll see who really has the people’s support.”

When asked about the BJP’s oft‑repeated “80‑20” narrative, Owaisi dismissed it with a sigh. “The real fight isn’t 80‑20, it’s 99‑1,” he said. “Ninety‑nine percent are the poor masses of UP, while that one percent enjoys forty percent of the nation’s wealth, a situation the BJP’s own ecosystem has nurtured.”

Despite the fiery rhetoric, Owaisi noted that AIMIM’s own preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections are going well. “Our candidates are ready, our ground work is solid, and we believe the people will choose a future beyond being mere vote‑banks,” he concluded.
