Over 200,000 Toddler Toys Pulled from Amazon After Choking Hazard Warning

Earlier this week, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a massive recall affecting roughly 276,000 toddler‑oriented busy boards that were sold on Amazon. The recall isn’t a minor hiccup; it’s about a tiny yet deadly defect – the red knobs on the second page of each board can pop off, turning a simple learning tool into a choking hazard for children under three.

These busy boards, marketed under the Esjay US brand, are bright blue felt pads dotted with handles, elastic cords, and button‑style closures. The front side shows cheerful cartoon dinosaurs, while the back offers 26 alphabet squares each paired with a cute animal illustration. In total, each board has five pages, but it’s the second page – the one with the red knobs – that’s at the heart of the problem.

Manufactured in China by Shenzhen Yishijie Technology Co., Ltd. (doing business as Esjay US), the toys were listed on Amazon from March 2023 through July 2026 with price tags ranging between $18 and $30. While the small‑parts violation is serious, the CPSC reports that no injuries or choking incidents have been documented so far.

Parents who still have these boards at home are urged to pull them away from kids immediately and stop using them. Esjay US says it will replace the faulty page free of charge, effectively repairing the board.
