NIT Rourkela's Unprecedented Placement Success: Soaring to New Heights in 2025!

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has once again solidified its reputation as a premier engineering institution, announcing a spectacular and record-breaking placement drive for the 2025 batch. The institute has witnessed unprecedented success, securing a staggering 1274 job offers from over 330 leading companies, marking a significant milestone in its illustrious history.

The highlight of this year's placements is undoubtedly the highest salary package, which soared to an impressive Rs 62.44 Lakh Per Annum (LPA).

This exceptional offer underscores the calibre of NIT Rourkela's talent and the growing demand for its graduates in the competitive global market. While the top package captures attention, the overall performance is equally commendable, with an average salary package of Rs 14.65 LPA for B.Tech students and an overall average of Rs 12.98 LPA for all programs.

The median salary stood strong at Rs 11.50 LPA, reflecting consistent high-value placements across the board.

The campus buzzed with activity as more than 330 companies, including industry giants and innovative startups, participated in the recruitment drive. These firms spanned diverse sectors such as Software & IT, Analytics, Core Engineering, Consulting, and Finance, offering a wide array of roles that cater to the multidisciplinary strengths of NIT Rourkela students.

Several engineering disciplines demonstrated outstanding performance, with Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering, and Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering emerging as the top-performing branches.

Their graduates attracted lucrative offers, showcasing the robust academic foundation and practical skills imparted by these departments.

Beyond the final placements, the institute also celebrated a robust Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) season, with over 280 students securing offers even before the main recruitment drive commenced.
