New Hampshire's Shifting Skies: An Evening Weather Update

Well, hello there, New Hampshire! It's been one of those days, hasn't it? A bit of everything, depending on where you were standing, from a bright start in some spots to more clouds elsewhere. But as we head into the evening hours and wrap up our Tuesday, there's certainly a chill settling in across the Granite State.

For tonight, folks, expect those temperatures to really start dipping. We're talking about numbers falling into the teens and low 20s across much of the state, especially once you get away from the immediate coast and into our more northern and inland communities. Skies should remain fairly clear for the most part, which is lovely for stargazing if you're out and about, but do keep an eye out for some patchy fog developing in those usual valley spots, particularly toward dawn. Definitely a night to keep the heat on and perhaps grab an extra blanket!

Now, looking ahead to tomorrow – Wednesday, March 17th – and a Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone celebrating! It's going to be a classic mid-March day for us here in New Hampshire – a real mix. We'll likely see plenty of sunshine to start, especially during the morning hours, which will be quite pleasant for those heading out early. However, don't be fooled; clouds will begin to roll in by the afternoon, and with them, a slight chance of some scattered showers. Mostly rain for our southern areas, but up north, in the mountains, we could easily see a few snow flurries mixing in, just to remind us winter isn't quite ready to pack its bags entirely. Highs will generally hover in the upper 30s to low 40s. A bit brisk, especially with that developing breeze.

As for the rest of the week, it looks like Mother Nature has a few more tricks up her sleeve. We're anticipating a generally unsettled pattern, with temperatures oscillating a bit around seasonal averages. Keep an eye out for another system potentially moving in around Thursday or Friday, which could bring more widespread precipitation, though the details are still a little fuzzy on that one.
