New Hampshire's Evening Forecast: A Glimpse of Spring's Promise

Temperatures are making a steady descent, and we're generally looking at overnight lows hovering around the upper 30s for most of us, maybe touching into the low 40s in some southern spots. But for our friends up north, especially in the higher elevations, don’t be surprised to see those thermometers dip comfortably into the mid-30s. So, yeah, definitely keep that extra layer handy if you’re heading out or just enjoying a quiet evening in.

Now, any lingering sprinkles or scattered showers we might have seen earlier are pretty much out of the picture. We're expecting mostly clear to partly cloudy skies overnight, which, hey, is good news for any aspiring stargazers out there! However, with those dropping temperatures and relatively calm winds, there’s a slight chance of some patchy fog developing in low-lying areas, particularly near rivers and lakes. Just a little heads-up if you happen to be out and about before dawn tomorrow morning – drive carefully, folks, as visibility could be a bit tricky in spots.

And as we turn our gaze towards tomorrow, Sunday, April 6th, I think you’ll be pleased with what’s on tap! We’re looking at a much brighter picture overall. Expect to see more sunshine gracing our skies, though we’ll likely still have a few fair-weather clouds drifting about. Those daytime temperatures are set to rebound quite nicely, reaching into the mid-50s for the majority of the state, and if you’re lucky enough to catch some extra sun in southern New Hampshire, we could even see a few spots kiss the low 60s. A proper taste of spring, finally!

It really seems this milder trend is setting in for a bit, with temperatures looking to stay comfortably above average for early April.
