New Hampshire Weather Outlook: Showers Tonight, Sunny Weekend Ahead

Mike Haddad, WMUR’s chief meteorologist, says the unsettled spell that’s been hanging over the Granite State isn’t quite over yet. Expect a stray shower or two tonight, mainly over the northern parts of the state, before the clouds finally pull back.

Temperatures will dip into the 50s‑low 60s early Friday morning, so a light jacket is still a good idea. By midday, the sun should break through, delivering a bright, slightly warmer Friday. A lone shower could brush the north, but most of the state will enjoy clear skies and highs climbing to the mid‑70s up north, nudging into the low‑80s farther south.

Saturday brings a bit more drama. The models show a few showers developing late morning into the afternoon, and they could pop up pretty much anywhere, especially in the central and southern regions. Temperatures will ease a touch, with highs ranging from the mid‑60s up north to the lower‑70s down south.

After that, the pattern finally flips to a more pleasant rhythm. Sunday looks dry and sunny, and the same pleasant, dry weather is expected for Labor Day on Monday – perfect for any last‑minute holiday outings.
