New Hampshire Holiday Weekend Weather Outlook

Kevin Skarupa, WMUR’s meteorologist, says the holiday weekend will kick off with a few showers scattered across the state. Expect the rain mostly late morning into the afternoon, though there’ll be plenty of dry spells between the drops.

Temperatures are a bit shy of the norm – highs will sit in the mid‑60s up north and edge into the low‑70s down south. It’s not wildly cold, just a gentle dip from what you’d normally see this time of year.

Overnight, the shower chances taper off and the lows settle between 44°F and 54°F. By morning, most places will be dry, setting the stage for a clearer sky on Sunday.

Sunday and Labor Day (Monday) look markedly brighter. Both days should stay mostly sunny, with highs comfortably in the 70s and a light northerly breeze that adds a pleasant touch.

Looking ahead to Tuesday and Wednesday, sunshine will dominate, though humidity and temperatures will creep upward a bit, nudging the mercury toward the mid‑70s. In short, expect a wet start, then a dry, sunny finish to the extended weekend.
