Nevada's 'Silver Belle' Chosen as the 2025 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, Bringing a Piece of the Silver State to Washington D.C.

Nevada has officially been chosen to provide the 2025 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, and what a magnificent representative they've found. Hailing from the picturesque Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, nestled within the vast Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, a truly stunning white fir is gearing up for its starring role on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol building.

This particular tree, already nicknamed “Silver Belle” – a nod to Nevada's rich history, naturally – isn't just any fir. It embodies the spirit of our state, showcasing the natural beauty and rugged charm of our landscapes. Just imagine it, standing tall and proud, a symbol of unity and holiday cheer right there in Washington D.C. It’s quite the honor, really, and a moment of immense pride for Nevadans.

Now, getting a tree of this stature from its mountain home all the way to the nation's capital is no small feat, let me tell you.
