Nashua Police Disrupt Drug Operation, Arrest Three Suspected Traffickers

Nashua, New Hampshire – In a significant move against the illicit drug trade, Nashua police have announced the apprehension of three individuals suspected of drug trafficking following an ongoing investigation. The arrests, which took place on Saturday, June 8, mark another step in the department's continuous efforts to combat the pervasive issue of drug-related crime within the community.

The operation, spearheaded by the Nashua Police Department's Organized Crime & Drug Control Unit, began after officers received actionable intelligence regarding drug sales activities right here in Nashua. Diligent investigative work eventually led authorities to identify and locate the suspects, culminating in Saturday's arrests.

Among those taken into custody was Edwin Vasquez-Rosado, 33, a Nashua resident. Police allege Vasquez-Rosado was involved in serious offenses, charging him with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute – a felony – and two additional felony counts of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute. Following his arrest, Vasquez-Rosado was held on a $20,000 cash bail and subsequently arraigned on June 10.

Also apprehended was Carlos Manuel Pena-Diaz, 32, also from Nashua. Pena-Diaz faces a felony charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. He too was held on a $20,000 cash bail and appeared for arraignment on Monday, June 10.

The third individual arrested was Wade J. St. Pierre, 39, another Nashua resident. St. Pierre was charged with possession of crack cocaine, a felony, and two felony counts of possession of fentanyl. Unlike the others, St. Pierre was released on personal recognizance bail and was also arraigned on June 10.

During the course of these arrests, law enforcement officers managed to seize a quantity of illegal drugs, an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales, and a vehicle. While specific amounts weren't detailed, the substances involved — fentanyl, crack cocaine, and cocaine — represent some of the most dangerous and widely trafficked drugs plaguing communities today.
