Massive Drug and Weapons Cache Uncovered in Keansburg Home, Man Faces Stiff Charges

A recent, meticulously planned operation by law enforcement has culminated in a significant victory against drug and gun trafficking in Monmouth County. Authorities have apprehended a Keansburg man, Jorge V. Rivera, following the discovery of a staggering cache of illicit drugs valued at over $200,000 and an alarming arsenal of illegal weaponry found within his residence.

The extensive investigation, spearheaded by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics and Criminal Enterprise Section, in close collaboration with the Keansburg Police Department, reached its climax late last month.

Following the execution of a judicially authorized search warrant at Rivera’s home, officers were confronted with a scene that underscored the serious nature of the alleged criminal enterprise.

Inside the residence, investigators unearthed a substantial quantity of various controlled dangerous substances.

The haul included significant amounts of heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, ecstasy (MDMA), and marijuana. The estimated street value of these narcotics alone exceeded two hundred thousand dollars, representing a major blow to the local drug supply chain.

Furthermore, Rivera has been charged with numerous weapons offenses, including possession of a prohibited weapon (the assault rifle and high-capacity magazines), and several counts of certain persons not to possess weapons, given his prior legal history which would prohibit him from owning firearms.
