He was admitted to RIMS Hospital in Imphal, where he breathed his last breath, after initially receiving critical care at Shija Hospital. The incident that ultimately claimed his life occurred on November 16, 2023. Mr. Valte was making his way home, returning from a community program within his own constituency, when his vehicle was ambushed.
