Man Arrested After Mid-Air Molestation on IndiGo Flight: Passenger Safety Under Scrutiny

In a deeply disturbing incident that has once again cast a spotlight on passenger safety, a man was promptly arrested upon landing in Hyderabad following allegations of molesting a woman during an IndiGo flight from Chennai.

The harrowing experience unfolded on IndiGo flight 6E-722, which departed from Chennai destined for Hyderabad.

According to reports, a female passenger was subjected to an unwelcome and inappropriate physical advance by a fellow passenger, identified as M. Suresh, during the journey.

Showing remarkable courage, the victim immediately brought the egregious act to the attention of the vigilant cabin crew.

Responding swiftly and professionally, the crew members intervened and ensured that the accused was isolated and kept under close observation for the remainder of the flight.

As the aircraft commenced its descent towards Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International (RGI) Airport, the cabin crew, in adherence to safety protocols, relayed the serious allegations to the ground staff and airport security.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel were instantly notified and prepared for the flight's arrival.

The moment flight 6E-722 touched down, a team of CISF officers was on standby at the gate. M. Suresh was immediately taken into custody as he disembarked the aircraft. He was then handed over to the local police authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.

The accused has been booked under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with assault or criminal force to a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty.
