Mall Mayhem Leads to Charges: Teen Arrested After Guelph Food Court Assault

Guelph Police say they've charged a 17-year-old male following an alleged assault that took place right in the bustling food court of Stone Road Mall. It's the kind of news that makes you pause and wonder, doesn't it?

The incident, which authorities responded to, unfolded on Saturday, May 18th, just before 4:30 p.m. — a time when the mall would likely be quite busy with shoppers and families. According to investigators, what started as a verbal altercation somehow escalated dramatically, leading to a 16-year-old boy being reportedly punched and even stomped on.
